Harinalaya Mini Zoo is situated over an area of 12.5 acre, at Newtown – Kolkata Metropolis, adjacent to Eco Park Gate No-6. The zoo was previously categorized as Deer park and it housed 50 numbers of Spotted Deer and 6 numbers of Barking Deer. It came under the supervision of West Bengal Zoo Authority (WBZA) from 21st April, 2017. The Mini Zoo was established on 1st August, 2017 and it is being managed by the Deputy Conservator of Forests, Urban and Recreation Forestry Division.
